When we created !saasInct and started developing our Portlets we wanted to make things easy for SAS customers.
We have carried that concept through with our pricing. So all our Portlets are priced based on the philosophies:
- Make buying a Portlet a commodity - make it easy
- Make licenses easy to understand - make all licenses unlimited users, no per user costs, no per CPU cost
- Make it a one off cost - no ongoing fees, no renewal costs, no additional support costs
- Make purchasing easy - provide the ability to pay online and download the portlets, via self service
When we came to the decision on how much each Portlet should cost, we again tried to make it easy and treat each Portlet as a commodity.
So all Portlets are USD $1,000 for unlimited users
(thats less than the cost of a days consulting!)
